28일 건강보험심사평가원의 말에 따르면 2013년 국내 탈모 환자 수는 27만3628명으로 2016년(80만8534명)대비 14% 증가했다. 연령별로는 30대가 23.3%로 1위를 차지했고 이어 20대(20.3%)다. 같은 기간 탈모 치료에 쓰인 총 진료비도 195억원에서 309억원으로 52% 늘어났다.
